Well, here we are. Summer is technically not over, and yet the temperatures hovered somewhere around 45 this morning. Fall always arrives earlier than we remember and earlier than we’d like, but with it brings some of the best music of the year. And so, another mix. This time, I’ve largely included new music with a couple of greats (like Ivy, my beloved) to complete the seasonal listening picture. Enjoy!

I believed even then that if I could transform my experience into poetry I would give it the value and dignity it did not begin to possess on its own. I thought too that if I could write about it I could come to understand it; I believed that if I could understand my life—or at least the part my work played in it—I could embrace it with some degree of joy, an element conspicuously missing from my life.

Sometimes it’s good to do what you’re supposed to do when you’re supposed to do it.
